Warranty

All STIHL products purchased online will be issued a STIHL warranty.

1. Tools used for home/farming applications receive a 2 year warranty. Double the warranty for petrol products to 4 years by adding HP Ultra Oil (minimum 1L) to your purchase.

2. Tools used in a professional application receive a 6 month warranty

3. STIHL Polymer Bodied/decked Lawnmowers receive a 10 year warranty on the polymer body (not associated parts) the handle and the catcher.

Details

The MSA 140 C-B Electric Battery Chainsaw delivers excellent performance and is ideal for cutting firewood and general property clean-up. The MSA 140 has 25% more power than the MSA 120 Battery Chainsaw.

This Chainsaw is compact and lightweight at 2.6kg and it's so simple to use - just pop in the battery and go! The MSA 140 C-B is also packed with innovative STIHL technology, such as Quick Chain Tensioning so you can tighten the chain without tools and the Ematic chain lubrication system which results in up to 50% less chain oil consumption. 

The MSA 140 C-B features the exclusive ¼ inch STIHL PICCO saw chain which assures clean, smooth cuts.

The MSA 140 C-B is part of our AK Cordless System range of tools with interchangeable batteries - the battery can be used in other tools in this range including a Hedge Trimmer, Blower, Line Trimmers and Lawn Mowers.

Run time on recommended AK 30 battery: Up to 45 minutes or 180 cuts

Run time on AK 10 battery: Up to 18 minutes - Battery not recommended

Run time on AK 20 battery: Up to 40 minutes - Battery not recommended

FAQ'S

Q: What Type of Property is Suitable for?

A: This saw is designed for garden maintenance and cutting smaller diameter firewood.

Q: What size branches can I cut?

A: Small diameter branches up to 12 inch

Q: What should I wear when using this Chainsaw?

A: We recommend that you wear snug-fitting clothes with Chainsaw protective legwear, glasses, gloves and sturdy boots or shoes, and tie back long hair.

Q: How long will the Battery last?

A: The recommended AK 30 Battery will last up to 45 minutes or 180 cuts, this does depend on what is being cut and how the tool is being used.

Q: Are the Batteries Interchangeable?

A: There are three different batteries in the COMPACT range, which all have different capacities. However for the MSA 140, we only recommend the high capacity AK 30 battery as it is provides enough power to operate the tool to it's potential. We do not recommend the AK 10 or AK 20 batteries for this tool.

Q: How long does it take to charge?

A: To fully charge an AK 30 Battery it takes 205 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 160 minutes with the AL 101 charger.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.

Q: Does this tool come with a warranty?

A: Yes, the MSA 140 C-B Chainsaw come with a domestic STIHL 2-year warranty.
