Warranty

All STIHL products purchased online will be issued a STIHL warranty.

1. Tools used for home/farming applications receive a 2 year warranty. Double the warranty for petrol products to 4 years by adding HP Ultra Oil (minimum 1L) to your purchase.

2. Tools used in a professional application receive a 6 month warranty

3. STIHL Polymer Bodied/decked Lawnmowers receive a 10 year warranty on the polymer body (not associated parts) the handle and the catcher.

With a combination of high torque and impressive cutting capacity the STIHL MSA 200 C-B Cordless Chainsaw is suitable for a range of tasks including garden maintenance and cutting firewood. The MSA 200 C-B starts at the push of a button and the quiet EC motor means you can use it in noise-sensitive areas. The Ematic chain lubrication system provides maximum lubrication and longer wear, oil consumption is also reduced.

The MSA 200 C-B is part of our AP Cordless System - the battery can be used on a wide range of other tools from the AP range.

Run time with recommended AP 300 battery: Up to 45 min

Run time with AP 100 battery: Not recommended

Run time with AP 200 battery: Up to 42 min

Run time with AP 300 S battery: Up to 56 min

Run times quoted are based on ideal operating conditions. Times will vary depending on load and conditions.

Your Chainsaw will require bar lube. We recommend STIHL SYNTH PLUS CHAIN LUBRICATION for your machine.

Q: What Type of Property is Suitable for?

A: This saw is designed for the discerning homeowner, lifestyle blockers and farming maintenance.

Q: What size branches can I cut?

A: Small diameter branches up to 14 inch

Q: What should I wear when using this Chainsaw?

A: We recommend that you wear snug-fitting clothes with Chainsaw protective legwear, glasses, gloves and sturdy boots or shoes, and tie back long hair.

Q: How long will the Battery last?

A: The recommended AP 300 Battery will last up to 45 minutes, this does depend on what is being cut and how the tool is being used.

Q: Are the Batteries Interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the PRO Cordless System use the same style of battery. There are 7 different batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the MSA 200, we recommend the large capacity AP 300 battery as it as enough power to operate the tool to its potential. We do not recommend the AP 100 for this tool.

Q: How long does it take to charge?

A: To fully charge an AP 300 Battery it takes 60 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 45 minutes with the AL 300 charger.

Q: Does the performance of the Battery reduce as it depletes?

A: No there is no gradual drop in performance – the battery runs at full power until it is fully depleted.
